Stay in the game even when it seems that all odds are against you.

If you want to train with me, you should be patient, grounded and enjoy the process. Especially because I won’t be your friend during our time together. It’s my job to challenge you.

Are you ready? Then, here’s some important truth:

I won’t make you fit or stronger.

You have to do the hard work.

The good news is that I can help you. I know what it feels like to struggle. In my former life, I was unable to tie my shoes or bend down. I had an office job and poorly neglected my body and mind.

This was until years ago, when I took up sports again. A lot has happened since then. Kettlebells became my almost daily companions and in 2016 I went from client to coach at Balboamove in Zurich where I give around 14 classes each week. Besides that I still train and sometimes take part in powerlifting competitions.

Resistance does not only come from weights.

Lifting a heavy bar is one thing. Overcoming fears and tackling issues the other. Not only is every body individual, but also every mind. I am fascinated how each client reacts differently to coaching cues. So, I’m curious how to work best with you.

But be warned: My training is far from perfect. I am just human, after all. That’s why I will make mistakes and allow you the same. Individual training is trying out, so our goal is also to learn from errors and adapt.

Are you sure you want to train with me?

Please don’t contact me if:

You don’t want to work hard.
You think that I am a magician.
You want to get in shape in two weeks.

Other than that I am open to work with anybody, any age. You can be an athlete that wants to improve specifially in strength training. You just want to get fitter and stronger. Or you don’t want your New Year’s resolutions to be forgotten in February.

So, what’s your goal?

What you’ll do with me.

Strength training and cardiovascular fitness. In other words: A lot of sweating and some cursing.

I’ll guide you through the basics and the technique. Depending on your goals, I will set out an adaptable plan and try out different workouts and variables (more weight vs more repetitions etc.) thats tailored for your needs.

This doesn’t mean that it’s easy to get where you want. You’ll have a bad day every once in a while and setbacks are part of the journey. That’s normal but not an excuse. I want you to go to your daily limits and maybe a bit beyond every time we train.

I will train you at two places only:
Balboa and Balboa.
You can choose if you want to work out at Schanzengraben or Viadukt.

I don’t do everything.

I rather focus on the areas that I know really well. Besides that, I have a network of great other coaches:
